Input selection is made using the front panel pushbutton switches, or remotely using the RS-422/RS-485 serial interface. All video inputs and outputs use standard SVHS connectors. The output gain for Y and C and frequency response for the Y component are internally adjustable. Switching occurs during the vertical interval of the output video.
Up to 8 RS-81 series switchers can be slaved together. Combining the RS-81S with the RS-81A creates an 8x1 audio follow video router, complete with breakaway.
